At Chipotle (pronounced chi-POAT-lay) we aim to do a few things but do them exceptionally well. When Chipotle first opened its doors in 1993, the goal was simple: to serve high quality, delicious food quickly with an experience that not only exceeded, but redefined the fast food experience.
To that end, we focus on sourcing the best possible ingredients, serving the tastiest food, and growing the most capable team we can.
Good food IS good business.

San Diego Access and Crisis Line
(888) 724-7240
The phone and chat crisis line is staffed by Master’s-level and Licensed Clinicians who provide suicide prevention, crisis intervention, community resources, mental health referrals, and alcohol and drug support services.
Marine Intercept Program
The Marine Intercept Program (MIP) is a collaboration between a Marine, the Marine’s Commander, healthcare providers, and Headquarters Marine Corps (HQMC). MIP services are provided to Marines for whom HQMC receives an Operations Event (OPREP-3) Serious Incident Report (SIR) for a suicidal ideation (SI), Personnel Casualty Report (PCR) for a suicide attempt (SA), or a DoDSER for a suicide attempt (SA). MIP services use evidence-informed practices to follow up with a Marine after a SI or SA. After contact with the Marine, the MIP counselor will provide updates to command and medical providers on the Marine’s current status. MIP provides caring contacts, ongoing risk assessment and safety planning after an evaluation at a Military Treatment Facility (MTF).
Command
The command contacts the installation MIP closest in proximity to where the Operations Event/Incident Report (OPREP-3), SIR, PCR, or DoDSER was submitted in response to an identified SI or SA. MIP does not duplicate, replace, or interfere with existing services. MIP is caring contacts, care coordination, ongoing risk assessment, and safety planning. MIP is NOT treatment or therapy services. Commands can provide support by:
- Providing the contact information to MIP for the Marine within 24 hours of reporting.
- Being the point of contact to assist in tracking the Marine’s care and resources.
- Encouraging the Marine’s engagement in services
- Providing feedback and input regarding the Marine
- Receiving status updates from the MIP counselor
- Assisting with reintegration
- Ensuring all units are familiar with MIP and the added layer of support it can provide
The Marine Intercept Program offers suicide prevention briefs.
Marine
MIP is:
- Voluntary
- Caring contacts
- Care coordination
- Risk assessment and safety planning
MIP is NOT:
- Treatment
- Therapy Services
Counselor
Once a Marine is identified as having SI or SA, the Marine Intercept Program will:
- Focus on highest risk time period
- Make contact with Marine at days 1, 3, 7, 14, 30, 60, and 90
- Collaborate with command leadership and healthcare providers
- Use evidence-informed suicide risk assessment tools
- Create and update a Safety Plan, an evidence-informed tool
