What Is the Summer Reading Program?
Join us for an exciting 6-week journey where reading meets adventure!
The Summer Reading Program at Miramar Station Library is designed for all ages—Pre-Readers, Kids, Teens, and Adults.
Participants can log reading minutes, attend engaging events, and earn fantastic prizes.
How to Participate
- Register on Beanstack starting May18.
- Log your reading minutes from June 1 through July 10.
- Attend special events each week to boost your reading minutes.
- Earn prizes as you reach reading milestones.
- Enter the raffle for a chance to win a Nintendo Switch or a family package to the San Diego Zoo!
Note: Raffle tickets must be redeemed by July 10 at 3:00 PM.
Special Events Schedule
June 1, 12:00-1:30pm 2026 Summer Reading Program Kick Off Carnival
- Kick off the Summer Reading Program with our Carnival!
- Match that plant
- Cupcake Walk
- Children’s games and activities
- Hamburgers and hot dogs from the Officers’ Club
June 11, 2:00pm Garden Grenades
- Learn about plant growth, care and environments. Create seed bombs!
June 25, 2:00pm Wild Things
- Enjoy an interactive program featuring live animals from Critter Encounters.
July 9, 2:00pm LEGO Masters
- Family teams will go head-to-head in a race to build the winning LEGO structure.
July 16, 2:00pm End of SRP Prize GiveawayA
- There will also be raffle drawings, top-reader prize giveaways, and snacks.
Bonus: Attend any library program and earn an additional 60 reading minutes on the Beanstack app.
Prizes & Raffles
- Reading Milestones: Earn prizes as you log more minutes.
- Raffle Entries: Read between 900–5,000 minutes and attend events to earn raffle tickets.
- Grand Prizes: Nintendo Switch and a family package to the San Diego Zoo.
Remember to redeem your raffle tickets by July 10 at 3:00 PM.
